Here is what we look at:

• Visual foundation inspection - We look for many different clues to identify foundation movement including around doors, along walls, windows, along roof trim, at the base of the slab, at wall joints, and about a dozen other items.

• Level check: We check floors for flatness as part of the contour evaluation. Floors were seldom built perfectly flat. Concrete slab foundations may have been off by as much as +/- 1 inch when built.

• Contour evaluation: Using electronic instruments including the Zip Level and Compu Level, our technicians look for trends in foundation elevation changes, which may indicate a foundation problem.

• Drainage and site evaluation: We will look at drainage, land movement, watering patterns, guttering, plants, planters, and retainer walls.
